Pressalit was born 1954. But the story of Pressalit takes its beginning two years earlier…. In a carpenters’ workshop in Esbjerg. Two carpenters, Christian P. Larsen and Holger Christensen, share the workshop and their business.

One night, a cat in the workshop accidentally overturns a pot of glue. The glue spills over a hot radiator and forms a puddle in the sawdust on the floor. The result is a material with great possibilities.
